We can’t believe Quarrybank Boutique Bathrooms is already One year old! Time flies when you are having fun.
We take this opportunity to look back at our first year of trading bathrooms at number 19 Grove Street in Wilmslow.
We opened our doors exactly on the Queen Jubilee’s celebration on 2nd June 2022.
By then, we had worked hard to get the ground floor of the old betting shop up to required standards.
It all started with my husband’s dream of opening a bathroom showroom in the most affluent area of Cheshire. Through a well established plumbing, heating and bathroom installations company Quarrybank Plumbers, we have noticed a huge gap in the market for a unique bathroom offering with a high level of customer care. There was simply nothing like this in the area and we spotted an opportunity to create something magical, unique and special.
When we took the premises over in January 2022, it is fair to say, they were a ruin. We had to start from ground zero with joinery, electrics and plumbing. Our teams worked through the nights to ensure we open in June, whilst Steven and I were busy signing up contracts with the suppliers and designing our first displays.
Our Grand Opening weekend was a great success and we really enjoyed meeting the local people and sharing our story with them.
Since then, we’ve met hundreds of fantastic customers who continue to inspire us and show gratitude and appreciation for what we do. Even four-legged friends tend to love popping in, and they now have a special bowl at our front door.
We love working with all kinds of customers; those who know what they want for their bathroom space and those who may not necessarily have the full vision of their desired outcome (that is what we are here for) yet they know they will be heard and advised wholeheartedly in our showroom.
We welcome Cheshire customers who wish to be fully appreciated and feel special, and “held” when it comes to bathroom installations as we understand how stressful the process can be.
We experienced some exciting events through our first year of existence as a bathroom showroom.
We became the finalists of the most prestigious bathroom awards in the industry – KBB Awards in the category for the New Bathroom Retailer of the Year. We are super proud of the finalists badge and competing with the final 4 showrooms across the UK. It’s a huge recognition for our business, especially that at the time, we were only 6 months into trading.
We have also hosted some amazing community events and Open Days, which brought us even closer with the locals and gave us opportunities to showcase our work and services.
We have partnered up with some most incredible bathroom and tile suppliers, offering beautiful and creative bathroom solutions for our customers, like FLAIR, Armera, Origins Living, Parker Howley, Porcelanosa and Craven Dunhill.
We constantly improve and change our displays and our 1st floor of the showroom is due to open in the next three months with innovative and attractive displays.
We’ve been featured in most exclusive magazines of our area: Cheshire Life, Cheshire Magazine, Knutsford and Wilmslow Guardian, KBB Review as well as the on-line publishing like So-Cheshire and Wilmslow Way Better.
We have introduced a new trend to accommodate art into the bathrooms. We exhibited beautiful artwork by Lily Greenwood across our displays and we are in the process of signing up a new artist from our county.
We have accommodated a second customer desk to ensure we have an adequate level of support for our customers and have recently welcomed our new showroom manager Chris Astles, who is an incredible bathroom designer and a strategic mind, just what our little boutique needs.
Our team of in-house bathroom fitters gained another professional this year and we are booked up with new bathroom projects 5 months ahead.
We have produced our branded merchandise with the local companies and now offer handmade candles and sustainable shopper bags as gifts to our customers.
It has been a super exciting and super busy year.
We are so proud of what we have achieved and how quickly we are gaining the public’s trust and support.
We will continue to do what we do best, which is creating unique customer experiences and assisting our community in turning their bathroom dreams into reality.
