TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SUPPLY & INSTALLATION

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all services and products supplied by Quarrybank Boutique Bathrooms Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By accepting a quotation, placing an order, or instructing us to proceed with any work, you (“the Client”, “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms apply to all services provided, including but not limited to:

  • Bathroom design
  • Product supply
  • Bathroom installation
  • Project management
  • Consultancy and surveys

2. Quotations & Scope of Work

All quotations are:

  • Valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise
  • Based on the information available at the time of issue
  • Subject to site survey and final specification

We reserve the right to revise quotations where:

  • Additional works are required
  • Specifications change
  • Material costs increase
  • Errors or omissions are identified

No contract is formed until the quotation is accepted in writing and any required deposit is paid.

3. Design Service

A design fee may be charged and confirmed in advance.
Where applicable, this fee is redeemable against product purchases.

All drawings, plans and concepts remain the intellectual property of Quarrybank Boutique Bathrooms Ltd and may not be used or shared without written consent.

4. Products & Supply

4.1 Product Responsibility

All products are supplied via trusted suppliers and are subject to manufacturer warranties.

We are not responsible for:

  • Manufacturer defects
  • Variations in colour, shade or texture
  • Natural material characteristics
4.2 Damages, Delivery & Returns

All deliveries are made to ground floor only, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

For supply-only projects, the Client is responsible for checking all goods upon delivery, including:

  • Product condition
  • Quantities
  • Accuracy of items

Any:

  • Damages
  • Discrepancies
  • Missing items

Must be reported in writing within 24 hours of delivery to:

Failure to notify us within this timeframe may result in claims being declined.

Returns, Cancellations & Re-stocking Charges

  • Payment is required in full before any order is placed.
  • All orders are placed specifically for each Client and are subject to supplier terms.
  • Cancellations must be made no less than 5 working days prior to the delivery date.
  • The following re-stocking charges will apply:
    • Minimum 20% re-stocking charge for cancellations before delivery
    • Minimum 40% re-stocking charge for cancellations after delivery
  • Returns requested after delivery or outside the 24-hour reporting period may:
    • Be refused
    • Be subject to re-stocking, handling and cancellation charges

All returns are subject to supplier approval.

4.3 Tile Supply & Returns (Important)

  • Tiles are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable once ordered.

For supply-only projects:

  • The Client or their appointed fitter is fully responsible for:
    • Measuring areas
    • Calculating quantities
    • Allowing for wastage

We accept no responsibility for:

  • Incorrect quantities ordered
  • Additional tiles required after installation has commenced
  • Batch variation when reordering

Please note:

  • We cannot guarantee the same shade of tiles where different sizes are used across walls and floors
  • All tiles are subject to pallet delivery charges

We strongly recommend ordering 10–15% extra tiles.

5. Surveys

Bathroom surveys are provided free of charge.

However:

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a fee of £79 + VAT

For projects not surveyed by us (supply-only):

  • All quotations are based on measurements provided by the Client
  • The Client is responsible for ensuring accuracy

We accept no responsibility for:

  • Incorrect measurements
  • Products that do not fit
  • Design limitations arising from inaccurate information

6. Installation Services

6.1 Scope

Installation includes only the works outlined in the quotation.

We only install bathroom suites supplied by Quarrybank Boutique Bathrooms Ltd.

In exceptional circumstances, where a Client wishes to:

  • Retain an existing item, or
  • Supply their own product

This must be agreed in writing prior to installation.

In such cases:

  • No workmanship guarantee will be provided in relation to those items
  • We accept no liability for performance, compatibility, or longevity
6.2 Site Conditions

The Client must ensure:

  • Safe and clear access
  • Adequate working space
  • Suitable and secure storage for materials

It is the Client’s responsibility to:

  • Inform us of any restrictions relating to skip placement
  • Inform us in advance of any pets or young children present at the property during installation
6.3 Working Hours

Our standard installation working hours are:
Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

6.4 Access & Attendance

Where a date and/or time has been agreed for works to be carried out, we will use reasonable endeavours to ensure our tradespeople attend as scheduled.

The Client agrees to:

  • Be present at the property, or
  • Provide safe and suitable access to the site

In circumstances where access is not provided at the agreed time and our team is unable to carry out the scheduled works, we reserve the right to charge for:

  • The time allocated for the visit, and/or
  • Any associated labour and operational costs
6.5 Programme & Delays

Timelines are estimates only.

We are not liable for delays caused by:

  • Supplier issues
  • Unforeseen structural problems
  • Third parties
  • Events beyond our reasonable control
7. Payments

Payment terms will be outlined within the quotation and may include:

  • Deposit
  • Stage payments
  • Final balance upon completion

Failure to make payments may result in suspension of works and delays to the programme.

8. Cancellations

Installation projects require a minimum of 7 days’ notice.

Failure to provide notice may result in:

  • Loss of deposit
  • Charges for materials ordered
  • Labour and preparation costs incurred

9. Quality & Snagging

Any issues must be reported on the final day of completion.

All agreed items will be recorded on a completion/sign-off form and rectified within a reasonable and agreed timeframe.

You must allow us the opportunity to inspect and carry out any necessary remedial works.

10. Warranty & Guarantees

We provide a 2-year workmanship guarantee on installation.

This excludes:

  • Misuse or neglect
  • Third-party interference
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Client-supplied or retained items

All product warranties are provided by the manufacturers.

Important:
Some manufacturers require products to be registered by the Client in order to activate or extend their warranty period.

  • It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure any required product registration is completed
  • We accept no liability for extended warranties that are not activated due to failure to register

11. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Pre-existing defects
  • Client-supplied products
  • Works carried out against our advice

Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the contract.

12. Title of Goods

All goods remain our property until paid in full.

Risk passes to the Client upon delivery.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

15. Client Acknowledgement

By proceeding with any order or service, the Client confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

16. Zero Tolerance Policy

Quarrybank Boutique Bathrooms Ltd operates a zero-tolerance policy towards aggressive, abusive or inappropriate behaviour towards our team.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Verbal abuse or threatening language
  • Personal or offensive remarks
  • Aggressive tone or gestures
  • Physical intimidation or contact

We are committed to maintaining a respectful and safe working environment for all employees.

Any Client behaving in such a manner, whether:

  • In person
  • Over the phone
  • In written communication

Will be asked to reconsider their behaviour.

Where behaviour does not improve, we reserve the right to:

  • End telephone conversations immediately
  • Withdraw from ongoing discussions
  • Suspend or cancel any ongoing or future work, including active projects

We take any form of abuse or intimidation towards our staff extremely seriously and will not tolerate behaviour that compromises their wellbeing.
